I am a writer, a genealogist, a former business analyst, a former English professor, a dreamer, an animal-lover (especially dogs and horses), an idea-person, a “brassy broad,” in love with a handsome man, a mom, a hippie, a Texan–specifically an Austinite by way of Texarkana, College Station, and Denton, and a goofy goofball who wishes she had enough gumption to sing in front of people. I also love to cook and bake and I wish I had more time to do both.
I am a graduate of three institutes of higher education: West Virginia University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Protection; Texas A&M University, where I earned a Master of Science in Soil Science; and the University of North Texas, where I earned a Master of Arts in English-Creative Writing.
